Laurent Boullet studied piano at the Royal Conservatory of Liège, Belgium, where he earned a Concert Diploma with distinction in 1991. Then followed five years of master classes with Hans Leygraf at the Mozarteum, Salzburg, and Hochschule der Künste (HdK) of Berlin, and with Pascal Devoyon and John
Perry.

In 1994 he was diagnosed with focal hand dystonia, which interrupted his career for one year. Five years later, he obtained the HdK soloist diploma. Recently he has dedicated himself to the development of a new approach to piano technique based on physiological elements, coupled with anatomy and neuro-motor programs.

Mr. Boullet also takes part in a research program at the Institute for Musician's Physiology and Medicine in Hanover directed by Professor Eckart Altenmüller. Now on the faculty of the International Piano Academy Lake Como, he also is member of the German Society for Musicianss Medicine (DGfMM), as well as of the working group of the Institute for Musician's Health and Music Medicine Kurt Singer in Berlin.

He continues to lead master classes in Europe, the United States and Korea.
